Diving in overhead environments, such as caverns and caves, where you are not able to make a direct ascent to the surface, come with a lot more inherent risks.
On this course you will learn all about those hazards & risks and how to recognise & reduce them in the predive planning stages and when under the water too.
The SSI Cavern/Cenote Diving program provides divers with the training necessary to independently plan and conduct limited penetration, no-decompression dives in natural environments, to a
maximum depth of 30 meters or linear distance of 40 meters, and using specialized overhead environment equipment and procedures, with an equally - or more- qualified buddy.

Perfect Buoyancy is an essential component when diving in overhead environments and Sidemount Diving is the perfect configuration for cave divers. Combine the two on the XR Foundations course in sidemount configuration.
